Last Wednesday I went to paint out with a few artists to the Reid State Park. The day was absolutely gorgeous. It was very warm and breezy. All my friends were busy painting, but I was exploring the park and was watching waves. There is something magic in crashing waves! I finished a few small paintings after this trip.

One of my New Year’s Resolutions was to finish paintings that I have been working on for a while. I achieved my goal with at least with one painting, “Autumn Lullaby”.
Painting water can be very tricky, but I am quite pleased with the result.

I will take a break from watercolor miniatures to concentrate my time on a few oil paintings that I have been working on for over a year. One of them has been sitting on an easel for more than 19 months! I think it is time finish them! The “Three Lilies”’ painting has been my priority – it was a commissioned work. I’m very pleased with the result and was glad (and a little relieved) when the new owners where happy with the finished painting.
